Truro

A fantastic collaboration between Truro Cathedral and Totally Truro with one purpose, to make Christmas in Truro more magical than ever! The rink is open everyday between 28 November 2012 and 6 January 2013,* except Christmas Day.

Regular sessions will start at 10:00am throughout the day until 8:30pm, with late night skating also available on selected evenings throughout the season.

Tickets for skating sessions can be booked in advance by visiting the Ice Skate Truro website or pop into the Hall For Cornwall box office on Lemon Quay or by calling 01872 262466.

New Year's Eve Fireworks - Monday 31 December at midnight

See in the New Year with a spectacular fireworks display on Lemon Quay. Fancy Dress is optional.

Looe

Looe New Year Celebrations

On New Year's Eve the streets of Looe are filled with thousands of people in fancy dress.

A huge informal party appears out of nowhere as good humoured revellers roam the streets of the historic fishing town dressed in all manner of costumes. A great selection of restaurants and pubs add to the party atmosphere as the old year ends and a new one begins.

This year, as well as the massed costumes and jollity, there will be two fireworks displays, one at 6pm for families with young children, and then the traditional one at midnight. The fireworks are launched from the town's Banjo Pier, and the best viewing is from the seafront promenade. The displays are free but street donations will be taken on the night.

Newquay

New Year's Eve Fancy Dress Carnival

Celebrate the New Year with this Newquay tradition as residents and visitors wear an array of fancy dress costumes throughout the town, ending at Central Square for the count down to midnight.
