Are you interested in helping to set up a Friends of St Austell Library group?  If so, then come along to the library on Tuesday 26 July at 11am when the first meeting will be taking place.

The purpose of the group will be to support the branch in promoting what it has to offer within the local community as well as working on bids for funding for specific projects.

One of the first projects the group will be looking at is putting together a bid for funding to make the back garden a safe place for children and adults to enjoy the many events held at the library.

Discussions at the first meeting will include setting a constitution, forming a committee and identifying projects the group would like to work on in the future to raise the profile of the St Austell branch library.

Dates for future meetings will be agreed at the first meeting.

For further information please contact Cornwall Library Service on 0300 1234 111 and ask for St Austell library.
