Cornwall Library Service is delighted that Simon Hall, the BBC’s Crime Correspondent for the South West of England and author of The TV Detective novels, has very kindly agreed to give his time and expertise to help kick-start a new Creative Writers Group at Looe Library.

On Thursday 26 May at 7pm Simon, whose books have been warmly praised as a fresh, distinctive and highly entertaining approach to crime writing, will be at Looe Library talking about his experiences as a crime writer and explaining to budding authors the benefits of meeting regularly to discuss their work, pool ideas and inspire each other.

A selection of Simon’s books will be available on the evening to discuss and purchase, including one his most recent novels, The Judgement Book, which was named by Eurocrime as one of the top reads of last year.

The Creative Writers Group is open to anyone who wishes to take part and will become a regular occurrence at the library once established.

Further information is available by contacting Cornwall Library Service on 0300 1234 111 and asking for Looe Library.
