Make life easier ... AskSARA - a free on-line guided advice tool about daily living - www.cornwall.gov.uk/asksara with DLF and Cornwall Council logos

Guided advice about daily living

Cornwall Council have partnered with the national charity Disabled Living Foundation (DLF)  to provide a quick and easy to use, online guided advice service called AskSARA which will assist anyone who finds that they have difficulties with everyday tasks.

AskSARA - DLF - Guided advice about daily living

We invite you to use this link to log on to the Cornwall Council version of AskSARA.

AskSARA works in three easy steps:

1.  You choose a topic relating to your health, your home or daily living activities

2.  You are asked some questions

3.  You are given advice and product suggestions through a personalised report

AskSARA consists of:

  • Expert advice written by DLF’s team of occupational therapists
  • Case studies about how products can help you stay independent
  • Signposting to relevant services provided by both public and private organisations
  • Details of products that might help you, guide prices and where you can obtain them

Please follow this link to see our AskSARA flyer.  There is also an AskSARA poster which you are welcome to display in any public area.

The advice in AskSARA is accredited by The Information Standard – a quality filter which helps people to identify reliable and trustworthy sources of information.

Family members and carers have also found this service to be helpful by making tasks easier for people who needs that little extra support to remain independent.

Once you have tried AskSARA we would welcome your views on how easy it was to use and what outcomes were obtained as a result of using the tool. Please email your comments to adultcareandsupport@cornwall.gov.uk.

By trying out this service you have not affected any right you may have to an assessment via Adult Care and Support. You can use the above link to email Adult Care and Support direct or speak to someone by telephoning 0300 1234 131 if you wish to make a referral.
