Scout Community Safety Badge

The Scout Community Safety Badge has been
completed in collaboration with Officers from Cornwall Council
(Emergency Management Service), Cornwall Fire and Rescue
Service, Essex County Council, Shelter Box, Environment Agency,
Highways Agency and members of The Scout Association.
The concept is to prepare young members of The Scout
Association to have an understanding and awareness of what to do in
the event of an emergency, consider the family unit in preparing
for an emergency, and extending to those people within the
community who may require assistance due to their vulnerability,
ill health or circumstances, that by their nature has left someone
within the community needing that little extra help.
Contained within, are the requirements
for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts and notes for Leaders
from the relevant sections to assist the young people in gaining
their award. To get your badges please send a self addressed
envelope and payment of £1 per badge to:
