Community Safety Scout Badge

The Scout Community Safety Badge has been completed in collaboration with Officers from Cornwall Council (Emergency Management Service), Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service, Essex County Council, Shelter Box, Environment Agency, Highways Agency and members of The Scout Association.

The concept is to prepare young members of The Scout  Association to have an understanding and awareness of what to do in the event of an emergency, consider the family unit in preparing for an emergency, and extending to those people within the community who may require assistance due to their vulnerability, ill health or circumstances, that by their nature has left someone within the community needing that little extra help.

Contained within, are the requirements for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts and notes for Leaders from the relevant sections to assist the young people in gaining their award. To get your badges please send a self addressed envelope and payment of £1 per badge to:

ShelterBox, Community Safety Badge, Unit 1A Water-Ma-Trout, Helston, Cornwall TR13 0LW, United Kingdom

A CD with all the information contained on this web site can also be obtained by sending a SAE to the above address.
