Community Regeneration Officer

I started working for the local authority in 2004 in the Planning department for Restormel Borough Council and in 2005 I joined the Regeneration Department as a Community Regeneration Facilitator developing Objective One and community projects, providing funding advice, organising training and funding events, and administering two community grant schemes to community and voluntary groups.

Under the new authority I now cover the Mid Cornwall area and my role involves supporting town and parish councils with the development of parish plans, assisting community and voluntary organisations with community projects, providing funding advice to groups using Grantfinder and working in partnership with external agencies to deliver projects and services to the community.

Prior to working for the local authority I worked in the Hotel and Catering Industry.
