To help you locate the records and books that are of interest to
you, catalogues containing descriptions of the items that we hold
are available to search for free online.
Cornwall Record Office (archives)
Most of the Cornwall Record Office (CRO) catalogues are
available on CROcat, the CRO online catalogue, however some
are currently only available on the national Access to
Archives (A2A) website. For a thorough search it is best to check
both websites.
If you have not used online archive catalogues before, do use
the help pages to get you started. There are currently no images of
the documents available, but the individual catalogue entries
contain detailed descriptions of most of the items in our
collections, some even include a transcription of the document. For
details of how to order copies of documents please see the
Research and document copies pages.
Cornish Studies Library (books and photographs)
You can search for and request books, journals, CDs, videos and
software at the Cornish Studies Library (CSL) and other branch
libraries. You may also search for old photographs of Cornwall from
the CSL collections.
