Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support are national welfare
benefits administered by the Local Authority.
The purpose of the Housing Benefit scheme is to help people on
low incomes pay their rent.
The Council Tax Support scheme provides assistance with Council
Tax to help people on low incomes pay their Council Tax.

Our benefits calculator shows if you are entitled
to Housing Benefit or Council Tax Support.
To claim Housing Benefit or Council Tax Support you can complete
an
online claim on the Council's Self Service system. You
can also ring our benefits advice line on 0300 1234 121 and make a
claim over the telephone. We will give you an appointment for
an advisor to call you back to complete the claim over the
telephone. If you prefer you can ask for a claim form to be
sent to you in the post. You can download a

form, or you can phone our benefits advice line on 0300
1234 121, pop into your nearest one stop shop, or use the out and about
advice service. You may submit your claim form to your
nearest one stop shop, or alternatively you can post it to
Benefits, PO Box 90, Camborne, TR14 4BE.
Viewing your housing benefits details
You can now check your claim details using the Self Service
online benefits system. This includes viewing what housing
benefit payments we have made, details about your next payment, any
letters telling you about your entitlement, and how your benefits
are calculated.
