The next full elections of Cornwall Councillors will be held on Thursday 4 May 2017 and then subsequently every four years.

The Notice of Election was published on Monday 20 March 2017.

Nominations for candidates have now closed.

The last full Cornwall Council elections took place on 2 May 2013. More information is available on the Cornwall council and parish and town council elections 2013 pages.

The first full election of Cornwall Council took place on 4 June 2009, see Cornwall Council Elections - 4 June 2009

The last full parish and town council elections took place on 2 May 2013.  More information is available on the Cornwall council and parish and town council elections 2013 pages.

At those elections, 33 parishes within Cornwall had changes made to their parish or town wards or had such wards created for the first time. These changes were the result of the Boundary Committee for England recommendations. 

Details of the parish and town councils affected can be found in the Cornwall (Electoral Changes) Order 2011.

Full elections of Parish and Town Councillors were originally due to be held in 2011, but were postponed until 2013 by the Cornwall (Structural Change) Order 2008, which provided for the creation of the Cornwall Council Unitary Authority. 

There are currently 213 parishes in Cornwall.

The next full elections of Parish and Town Councillors will be held on 4 May 2017 and then subsequently every four years.

On Thursday 4th May, there will be a referendum on the neighbourhood development plan for the Bude-Stratton area.

On Thursday 4th May, there will be a referendum on the neighbourhood development plan for the Roche area.

On Thursday 4th May, there will be a referendum on the neighbourhood development plan for the St Minver area.

On Thursday 4th May, there will be a referendum on the neighbourhood development plan for the Rame Peninsula area.
