Cornwall Children's Trust – Research and Information

The Children's Trust is a group of organisations working to improve the lives of children and young people in Cornwall. Data and research is gathered to help shape strategic priorities for the Children’s trust.

Corporate Strategy, Policy and Intelligence team - Data and Research

The team is part of the Customers and Communities Service that sits at the heart of Cornwall Council, providing strategic leadership and direction to public services in Cornwall with a focus on policy development, localism and reputation. The team focuses on policy and strategy development and manages the Data and Research webpages. 

Economic Development

Economic Development - Economic Intelligence

Cornwall Council’s Economic Development service produces economic intelligence to inform the Council’s economic vision and priorities. The team produces a monthly monitoring update, a regular overview of the state of the economy in Cornwall and labour market analysis.

Educational data

Educational data - Data and Statistics Team

The Council’s statistics team produces educational data. The team work closely with the Primary and Secondary Partnership Data Groups which were set-up initially to respond to issues raised by the government's proposals for publishing performance tables and to 'add value' to them. The Data Groups have developed into a proactive group dedicated to providing useful information (data and analysis) to schools to help in their self-evaluation. 

Cornwall Fire, Rescue and Community Safety Service

Cornwall Fire, Rescue and Community Safety Service Business Support Team

The Cornwall Fire, Rescue and Community Safety Service (CFRCS Service) Business Support Team provides analytics for fire, road traffic collisions and special services undertaken by fire and rescue services. This includes identifying trends, assessing risk to inform policy and the statutory Integrated Risk Management Plan, developing tools to direct preventative work and undertaking ad hoc analysis.

Cornwall Council’s team produces aa range of housing related data to help review and develop  related strategy, policy and plans. 

Public Health

Public Health – JSNA

Cornwall Council’s Public Health Team produces a number of data sets on population and specific population groups. The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment website is a central resource of local and national data, information and analysis to inform decisions and plans to improve local people’s health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. 

Safer Cornwall

Safer Cornwall

Safer Cornwall is a partnership of public, voluntary, community and private organisations who come together to do all that they can to make Cornwall’s communities safer. The Intelligence Team produces information on crime and community safety issues including the Strategic Assessment and a library of documents and publications covering all aspects of crime and disorder in Cornwall.
