Portfolio Advisory Committees

The Policy Advisory Committees (PACs), will provide support and constructive challenge to the ten Members of Cornwall Council’s Cabinet and play a key role in developing Council policies.

There is a PAC attached to each of the ten portfolio areas whose role is to support and challenge the Cabinet Member. Each PAC has 10 non-Cabinet Members and is chaired by a nominated Member who is not the Cabinet Member.

These meetings give members of the public an opportunity to ask questions of the Cabinet Members. The PACs will meet every eight weeks, with the meetings open to the press and public. You can find out more about these meetings and when they will be held on our committee structure page.
