Barclays Premier League Trophy at Newquay Library this Saturday

Football fans are being given an exciting opportunity to see the Barclays Premier League Trophy for themselves by visiting Newquay Library this Saturday 3 June.

The trophy will be on show in the main adult section in the library for the morning, between 10am and 1pm along with a display of football related books. Those that come along will be able to take a photograph or a selfie with the prestigious trophy - rather than to be able to touch it!

This opportunity has been made possible as the Library has been lucky enough to win a Facebook competition to have the genuine Barclays Premier League trophy for a day.

Dawn Grice, Senior Library and Information Assistant at Newquay Library said: “We’re really pleased that we’ve won the competition to have the Barclays Premier League Trophy at the library. We hope to be able to give lots of people this rare and fantastic opportunity to see the trophy first hand between 10am and 1pm - and take a photo of it if they wish. Newquay library is open as usual; so as well as having the trophy, people will be able to borrow or browse books, use the free public computers, and join the library if they’re not already a member.”
