What's On?

The Archives and Cornish Studies Service runs a range of events and activities both at Cornwall Record Office and the Cornish Studies Library, as well as in venues across Cornwall.

Current and forthcoming events:

Cornish Studies Library, Redruth, Saturday 4 March - Saturday 15 April 2017

Discover the fascinating history of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly's daffodil industry through spectacular images and stories from Cornish archive collections, including material never before seen on public display. View the poster here.

We are offering free 'hard hat' tours of the Kresen Kernow site, which will be home to our new archive centre, on Friday May 5th (10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm) and Saturday May 6th (1pm, 2pm). Please note that due to the ongoing building works on the site, strict health and safety rules must be adhered to and pre-booking is essential. Stay tuned for more information, or call 01872 323 127 to find out more and book your place.

We are also offering a creative session on the Kresen Kernow site on Saturday May 6th from 10am-12pm. Largely self-led, participants are invited to bring sketchbooks, cameras, pencils, etc, to help us capture the changes on the former Redruth Brewery site. Please note that due to the ongoing building works on the site, strict health and safety rules must be adhered to and pre-booking is essential. Stay tuned for more information, or call 01872 323 127 to find out more and book your place.

We are also planning a free family cartoon event as part of Redruth's Murdoch Day celebrations and will be announcing a new series of ArTchive workshops soon.
