Local groups can visit Cornwall Record Office (CRO) or the Cornish Studies Library (CSL) and enjoy behind the scenes tours of the secure strong rooms, home to over half a million fascinating documents and books relating to Cornwall’s history.

If you are unable to come to the Record Office or Cornish Studies Library, or are holding an event for which you would like a speaker, our staff members are able to deliver presentations on matters relating to general archival and library practice, as well as on aspects of Cornwall’s history and our collections.

A free visit to the Record Office or Studies Library can inspire your students to find out more about Cornwall's history, as well as giving them hands on access to original documents. We also offer school outreach visits and borrowable loans resources.

We work with a number of other organisations - from the Hall For Cornwall to Falmouth Art Gallery -  to develop creative and stimulating learning resources and activities.

We offer a range of events and activities throughout the year, including creative drop-in activities, exhibitions, family learning sessions, taught classes, creative workshops, and much more. We encourage involvement from toddlers and grandparents alike! To see what exciting events are coming up you can find us on social media by searching @KresenKernow on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You can also visit our What's On? page to see any forthcoming events.
