Joint Localism summit and Budget and priorities event for 2016

Following on from the successful Localism Summit in 2015, we held an event which was co-joined with an evening Budget and Priorities event at the Royal Cornwall Pavilion Centre, Wadebridge on Monday 31 October 2016.

The Localism Summit Agenda 2016, included in this years event is Nick Gardham from Community Organisers, inspiring social action in neighbourhoods across England.

The budget and priorities event was held with Council leaders and senior managers, and partner organisations where we heard about and discussed Cornwall’s economic growth and development.

John Pollard, Leader of Cornwall Council, will shared updates on Localism and Cornwall’s Devolution Deal, and the Council’s Governance and Electoral reviews to shape how the Council will operate in the future.

Adam Paynter, Deputy Leader of Cornwall Council, will outline the Council’s budget proposals and plans to minimise the impact of known Government cuts.

Kate Kennally, Chief Executive of Cornwall Council, will explain how the Council will be working differently to reflect the changes taking place in Cornwall and beyond, including preparations for the potential impact of Brexit.
