We are committed to delivering services in a fair and equal way. Effective communication is an essential part of our services and all users are entitled to access interpreting and translation services to remove communication barriers.Interpretation generally refers to the spoken word (including British Sign Language) and translation generally refers to the written word.

Documents published by Cornwall Council can be produced in a variety of formats on request. These formats can include audio tape, Braille, large print, easy read, alternative language, alternative document type (e.g. Word, pdf), face to face meeting, telephone call). The advice statement below will be included on every document and publication, in as large a print as reasonable for the document or  publication:
