What can you do?

  • Make sure that everyone in the car is correctly restrained.
  • Choose the right seat for your child's weight and height.
  • Remember some seats don't fit in some cars.
  • Always fit the seat exactly to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Secure your child in the seat on every journey.
  • Never use a rear facing child seat where a passenger airbag is fitted. Do not use a forward facing child seat on a passenger seat fitted with a front airbag unless your vehicle manufacturer confirms it is safe.
