Keeping Safe

Fire safety in the home is a primary concern of Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service.

Throughout these pages you will find information for you, your family and friends, on how to protect yourself  from fire, floods, carbon monoxide and other dangers inside and outside of your home. You can also access information on fire safety in the home, our free home fire safety check service, road safety advice, and other important safety tips including how to prevent a fire in your home

To navigate the keeping safe section, please use the links to the left of this page.

The aim for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service is to reduce the number of preventable fires, fire-related deaths and injuries in and outside the home in line with national targets, by promoting a greater awareness and improving attitudes towards community safety.

The strategy by which Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service intends to reduce the number of fire related incidents is explained in our Community Safety Service Plan.

For workplace fire safety information visit our Business Fire Safety pages.

If you have children, you might like to introduce them to our Kids zone for fun safety games.
