November  2017

Tolvaddon Community Fire Station Charity Car Wash

17 November 10am - 2pm

We are holding a charity car wash in aid of BBC Children in Need  and The Fire Fighters Charity.This will be held at Glassons Garage in Camborne at 10am - 2pm. Feel free to head down and get that car or van of yours sparkling clean, by your very own local firefighters in fancy dress, for a donation to Children in Need/The Fire Fighters Charity.

Interfaith Week - Cornwall Diversity Food Festival

18 November 12pm - 4.30pm

Cornwall Diversity Food Festival is an event open to all age groups to encourage children to learn from a young age and adults to share and enjoy food and probably swap recipes.

This is also an opportunity to promote British values, encourage integration, tolerance and social inclusion through food.

Cornwall Diversity Food Festival will be showcasing the many food types enjoyed around the world but prepared in Cornwall.

It takes place on Saturday 18 November 2017 from 12pm - 4.30pm at All Saints Highertown Church Hall, Truro, TR1 3LD.

Domestic Abuse Awareness Week

25 November - 10.30am Winter walk

Circular walk starting at St Euny Church, Redruth at 10.30am. The walk is followed by hot chocolate and cake. Dogs are welcome to this event.

27 November -  Domestic Abuse Awareness Week Launch event at Tolvaddon Community Fire Station, 10am - 1pm

Launch event for Domestic Abuse Awareness week, including a range of guest speakers including Cornwall Fire, Rescue and Community Safety Service, Devon and Cornwall Police and First Light. Cascade Theatre Company will be also giving a performance at the event.

In addition to the guest speakers, some of the organisations and groups who will be in attendance at this launch event include: First Light, The Susie project, West Cornwall Women's Aid, Addaction, Refuge 4 pets, Cornwall Council Anti-Social Behaviour Team and many more.

27 November - 30 November - Information Display at New County Hall Truro

Leaflets and information on Domestic Abuse will be displayed at the Long Gallery in New County Hall.

1 December - 10am - 1pm - Multi-agency public engagement and networking event at St John's Hall, Penzance

A multi-agency networking event will be held at St John's Hall, Penzance, refreshments will be available throughout the morning, from the farmers market.

1 December - 5pm - Candle Vigil and Service at St Euny Church, Redruth

A Service will be held on the theme 'Survival and Hope' led by Reverend Angela Brown. Coffee and Cake will be available after the service. All services, agencies, providers, community groups and members of the public are invited to attend the event.

Fire Safety Coffee morning

18 November 10am - 12pm

Do you live in Marazion? If so, we are holding a coffee morning giving Fire Safety advice at the Godolphin Arms in Marazion on the 18th of November between 10am-12pm.

Get advice on home fire safety, carbon monoxide, electrical appliances and much more. Book in for the crew to visit your home to fit free smoke detectors.

Come along and we will happily answer any question and put to rest any concerns.

December  2017

International day for disabled people- Tolvaddon Community Fire Station

2 December 11am-3pm

To raise awareness about the challenges that disabled people can face, Disability Cornwall in conjunction with Cornwall Fire, Rescue and Community Safety Service are hosting an International day for disabled people at Tolvaddon Community Fire Station. 

Come and meet Santa and the fire crew and join us for a hot drink and a mince pie. It is sure to be a fun filled, family event. Further information to follow.
