Delabole is an on-call fire station, staffed by 12 On-Call Firefighters who crew a Water Tender Ladder and a Landrover 4-wheel Drive Pump (L4P - Mini Fire Appliance). The L4P provides limited fire fighting equipment to hard to reach areas, such as restricted access and cross country locations.

Monthly station activity of incidents for 2015 – 2016

The station supports local carnivals and hold community fire and rescue service events each year. They regularly raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity through car boot sales and BBQ's.  The station also carry out 'Free Home Fire Safety' checks, give fire safety advice and fit free smoke alarms.

Delabole Community Fire Station have a unique resource called early learning fire safety (elfs), which is available to borrow free of charge by all early years establishments (including: nurseries, pre-schools, child minder's). You can find out more information by visiting our page on elfs and how to borrow the resource from a community fire station in Cornwall.

The area covered by Delabole Community Fire Station extends roughly from Port Isaac in the West, to Crackington in the East and St Breward to the South.

Risks surrounding the area include Tintagel - during the holiday season, Chemical Factories at Bossiney and Camelford and Europe's largest Cheddar Cheese Factory at Davidstow.
