Construction is becoming increasingly technical and our aim is to assist designers, contractors and building owners negotiate the legal and technical requirements of the construction process. This area contains regulations, guidance notes and other technical resources on Building Regulations and related matters. The information is grouped into sections, and can be accessed by clicking on the headings below. The sections contain the following information:
An explanation of the Building Regulations 2010 and how they are applied. The regulations are supported by ‘Approved Documents’ which give detailed technical construction guidance on specific subjects such as structures, fire safety, drainage etc. The Approved Documents can be accessed from this area, along with associated guidance documents and links to external resources.
The success of any project will depend on using the right people in the construction team, guidance on choosing your builder is contained in this section.
