Falmouth Spring Festival

26 March – 3 April 2011

Falmouth BID (Business Improvement District) has instigated a new annual festival for Falmouth – Falmouth Spring Festival which took place for the first time this year. This is an opportunity to work hard to attract new visitors and extra people into the town.

The 10 day festival continued on from the Spring Flower Show at Princess Pavilion.

Richard Wilcox Falmouth Business Improvement District (BID) Manager:

“I’m delighted with how the inaugural Falmouth Spring Festival panned out. When I first presented the idea to businesses in October, I was met with such passion and enthusiasm that I knew an early season festival was a good concept. And the fact that over 25 volunteers turned up to help me at the guerrilla gardening event and that over 80 businesses signed up for the Paint the Town Yellow Day backs up that.

I’d like to thank all the people who gave up their time to work with me and the Falmouth BID to make it happen – there’s been a great mix of events, from Gardeners’ Question Time to a Spring Fashion Show, that have appealed to young and old and certainly we have hit upon a recipe that works and can grow and develop in future years. This is another clear example of Falmouth BID’s determination to raise Falmouth’s profile and attract extra visitors to the town, thereby boosting the local economy.”
