What is a webcast?

A webcast is a transmission of audio and video over the internet. Video cameras and recording equipment capture the event and sends the information to a host server which in turn streams the meeting live over the internet. A recording of the event is kept for our archives for six months after the live date.

We webcast some of our most important council meetings, including Full Council, Cabinet and Strategic Planning Committee. We also webcast other meetings of general public interest, so please check back here to view our latest list  meetings to be webcast.
